Every coding agent.Every account.One grid.

Run Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor, OpenCode, Copilot CLI and Grok side by side on your Mac, each signed in to the account you choose.

Free. macOS 13 or later, Apple Silicon and Intel. No Oriel account, no telemetry.

Oriel in 58 seconds

One window for every agent you run

Oriel doesn’t replace your CLIs. It gives them a shared workspace: panes, accounts, status and handoffs.

Dock, swap and resize every session

Drag a pane to an edge to dock it, or onto another pane to swap them. Each pane keeps its own header, account and process, and the layout comes back with the workspace after a restart.

Several accounts per CLI, kept apart

Use This Mac, the CLI’s own login, or add named accounts with their own config folder. Star a Default, pin one per workspace. Sign-in runs in the background: Oriel opens your browser or shows the device code, then checks the result.

Hit a limit, keep working

Quota rings appear once an account passes 80%. When a pane runs out, Continue on backup opens a tab next to it on your next account with quota left and drafts the handoff. Nothing is sent until you send it.

Changes, PR checks and worktrees

Stage files, resolve conflicts and follow PR checks through GitHub CLI. Open a worktree as its own workspace for a parallel agent. Oriel never commits, pushes or merges for you.

See which agent needs you

Every session shows Working, Waiting, Done or Error, reported by the CLI’s hooks where they exist. Alerts and the Dock badge only fire for tabs you aren’t looking at, and never include your prompts.

Pass context from one agent to the next

Write @oriel/name to bring another terminal’s selection or recent output into a request. Preview and edit it before it’s pasted. Oriel never presses Enter for you.

Authentic terminal themes and native Liquid Glass

Dracula, Nord, Tokyo Night, Catppuccin, Rosé Pine and more, each with its official terminal colours. Set a minimum contrast or import a VS Code theme. On macOS 26, Liquid Glass uses the system’s own glass material.

How it works

  1. Add a workspace

Choose a project folder. Its files and Git state stay exactly where they are.

  2. Click an agent

It starts right away with This Mac, the CLI’s own login. Add more accounts when you need them.

  3. Run them side by side

Split, dock and rename panes. Oriel tells you when an agent finishes or needs an answer.

Local by design

Oriel has no server of its own. Apart from its update check, network traffic comes only from the CLIs it runs for you: your agents, and GitHub CLI for PR status.

  • No Oriel account, subscription or cloud service.
  • No telemetry, analytics or tracking, in the app or on this site.
  • Update checks fetch a signed file from GitHub Releases with no identifiers; turn them off in Settings.
  • Sign-ins stay with each CLI. Oriel never reads token files or your Keychain.
  • Terminal output is read in memory to show status, and is never stored or sent.
  • Alerts contain only the agent, session title, state and workspace.

Install

This beta is signed for local use but not notarized by Apple yet, so macOS asks you to confirm the first launch.

First launch

  1. Download Oriel from the latest release.
  2. Unzip the download (double-click it) and move Oriel to your Applications folder.
  3. Open Oriel. When macOS says it can’t verify the app, click Done.
  4. Open System Settings, go to Privacy & Security and scroll to Security.
  5. Click Open Anyway next to the message about Oriel, then confirm with Touch ID or your password.

macOS remembers your choice. Later versions install from inside Oriel and normally don’t ask again.

You need

  • A Mac with Apple Silicon or Intel
  • macOS 13 Ventura or later. Liquid Glass needs macOS 26.
  • The agent CLIs you want to use, installed as usual. Oriel shows the install command for any that are missing.

If macOS says the app is damaged

That message comes from the download quarantine flag. Remove it in Terminal, then open Oriel again:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Oriel.app

Questions

Is Oriel free?

Yes. There is no Oriel account, subscription or trial. Each agent CLI keeps its own plan with its provider.

Does Oriel send my code or prompts anywhere?

No. Oriel has no telemetry, analytics or cloud service. Your prompts go only where the CLI you run sends them. PR status uses your own GitHub CLI.

Which CLIs does it support?

Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor, OpenCode, Copilot CLI and Grok, plus zsh, bash and fish shells. You install the CLIs yourself, and Oriel launches them directly, bypassing shell aliases.

How are accounts kept apart?

Each added account gets its own folder, passed to the CLI through its documented config override, for example CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR for Claude Code. This Mac uses the CLI’s normal login. You can copy settings from This Mac to a new account. Sign-ins, history and sessions are never copied.

What happens when an account runs out of quota?

The pane shows Limit reached and when it resets. Continue on backup opens a new tab next to it on your next signed-in account with quota left and drafts a handoff for you to review. The limited tab keeps running.

Why does macOS warn me the first time?

This beta is ad-hoc signed and not yet notarized by Apple. Follow the Open Anyway steps above once; updates then install from inside Oriel.

Does it run on Intel Macs or older macOS?

Intel Macs, yes: download the x64 build. Older macOS, no: Oriel needs macOS 13 or later, and Liquid Glass needs macOS 26.

Is it available in Vietnamese?

Yes. The interface is in English by default and switches to Vietnamese in Settings. App shortcuts pause while you type with Telex or VNI.
